MORE SPRING BOOK SALE HIGHLIGHTS:  

COOKBOOKS GALORE!

Spring & Summer is time for play and party! And what are these seasons without delicious dessert treats: ice cream, cookies, and cakes with a variety of decorations. 

At our Spring book sale, we will have a wide variety of cookbooks including a number of publications on baking and decorating some of our favorite desserts. They cover basic techniques to a professional level.

 

ICE CREAM

The three books below are a great introduction to ice cream treats. 


Gelato! Italian Ice Cream is popular in America and this book provides a variety of recipes ($3). 

Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is one of America’s favorite brands. This book provides recipes for some of their classic flavors ($2.50). 

And finally, do you eat your ice cream by individual scoop?  A Month of Sundaes provides lots of ideas for making your own including sauces. ($3).  Have Fun!

 

COOKIES

We’ve received numerous Cookie cookbooks in recent donations.  The three shown below focus on decorating cookies especially for children, but I’m sure everyone would enjoy getting one of these. 


The Complete Photo Guide to Cookie Decorating is an awesome reference for novice and experts with lots of ideas ($4). 

100 Animal Cookies is a visual delight with animals any child will love ($3.50). 

Wacky Cakes & Kooky Cookies runs the gamut from cake decorations to cookies with more adult design with a lot of creative ideas ($2).

 

BAKING BOOKS

We’ve received several interesting baking books that will be available at the Spring sale. They range from general baking books to cake decorating to cupcake and cake pops. Below are three of the most unique. 

 


How To Cake It is a fascinating book on making unusual cake creations.  This is an ideal book for someone who wants to learn to make the basics of cake creations ($4). 

Crazy About Cupcakes includes a variety of different cupcake flavors as well as ideas on decorating.  It also includes some vegan recipes ($2.50). 

Pop Bakery is all about making cake pops.  It includes a number of different decorating designs.  Fun ideas for children and adults ($1.50).
