Our Fall 2019 Book Sale is over and we immediately
began to collect donations, sort, and select books for our Spring Book Sale. It isn’t too early to begin
highlighting some of the offerings that will be available in April. The
following are first in a series of previews that will be introduced here. Enjoy the variety of offerings. Come out and browse in April. I'm sure you will find that something special.
CHILDREN’S
BOOKS
Joy Berry’s well-known book series Help Me Be Good
will be available in the Children’s Room.
These self-help books on misbehaviors for children include such titles
as “Being Bullied,” “Being Bossy,” “Disobeying," “Throwing Tantrums” to name a
few. These wonderful books are suited
for children between 5 and 7 years of age/Grades K-2. The 29 volumes will be
sold individually for $1.00 each.
ART WORKS
In the ART section you will find some unique selections
including a History of Western Art by the Guerrilla Girls. The work, prepared
by an anonymous group of female artists, offers a humous, wisecracking view of
the art world. Price: $2.50
James Victore, a graphic designer, provides insight into the
process and lessons learned on 47 of his work projects in Victore or, Who
Died and Made You Boss? Price: $7.50.
Norman Rockwell book by Ron Schick offers a view of the
photographs that were used by Rockwell to create his well-known artworks.
Price: $6.00.
Beautiful collection of photographs of the Andes and it’s
people by one of the most important photographers of the 20th
century are presented in Martin Chambi, Photographs 1920-1950
