The Fall 2018 George Mason Friends Book Sale has ended. Our
semi-annual event was once again a big success thanks to all of you. With the proceeds, we will be able to
continue funding adult and children’s programming at George Mason Regional
Library, provide funding for the Fairfax County Library Summer Reading Program,
and help fund library professional development initiatives and literary events.
The Book Sale requires thousands of hours of hard work.
Thank you so much to:
George Mason Friends and volunteers
who work tirelessly throughout
the year sorting and pricing the wonderful books, DVDs, CDs, and
audio book donations that we receive and are able to offer at the sale.
Our
adult and student volunteers, who work hard over a week period every
April and September, to set-up the sale, staff it, and clean up
afterwards.
The great George Mason Regional
Library staff who tolerate the week of upheaval and disorder with
smiles and goodwill, and support us in so many, many ways
And finally, but not least, our wonderful
customers from the community who not only provide many of the donations
but also support our Book Sales each spring and fall.
We look forward to seeing everyone again, on the front lines,
behind the scenes, and perusing (and buying of course!) the numerous
offerings at our next sale in April 2019.
THANK YOU TO ALL!
